: OK, first step is getting the Okoume home from the beach. Since I need a
: couple of sheets of construction grade plywood anyway for various setup
: purposes, I was thinking of getting two sheets to carry down in the truck.
: I can sandwich the Okoume between them and use a combination of bungees,
: clamps, bricks, rope, or whatever to keep it held together. Does that
: sound like a good plan? Any better ideas?

If you need to put it on the roof, sandwich the good stuff between the cheap stuff and put a few clamps along the front edge and tie it down to the bumper. Plywood likes to flex up and lift off the car. The clamps will stiffen up the stack, and the rope will help prevent it from lifting. A couple 8' 2x4s on top do the trick also. If you can fit it in the bed, so much the better. Do not stick one end down in the bed with the front up on the roof if you can at all avoid it.
