Hello.. I'm building a 14" Auk using the scaling shown in Nick's book. Getting to the cockpit area now, and need confirmation that the opening starts just behind the #7 form and ends at or before the #10. Also, if anyone with experience with the Auk has a recommendation for or against a recessed cockpit, I'd appreciate it. The paddler (not me!) is about 5'6" and 125 pounds or so. Just hanging around reading here has gotten me over a few humps.... thanks to all!
