I have a unfinished kayak that sat in my basement when a fella couldn't get here to finish it. Job changed, got married etc.

In hte interest of reclaiming some space..... I finally packaged up the half finished boat still on the forms (shrink wrapped etc) that wasn't being completed.

Leg one of the Kayak relay:....I drove it first through Manahattan, Time Square etc. Christmas night...That was a cool set of looks. I had put two flash light in to the shrink warap, kind of add to the over all impression. Then I Parked it in Manahatten....returned to find it was still on the roof. (I had half hoped someone had stolen it atnd releived me of it. No such luck.

Leg 2 of kayak relay: Then I drove it to PA.

I handed it off to a fella from MD who duct taped it to his trooper. He drove it back to MD. He drove around MD for a few weeks with it on his roof.

LEG 3 of kayak Relay: Young guy in MD Finally starts driving west from MD to
Colorado.....

He drives boat around colorado for a few days (flash lights have burned out)
Finally original builder comes to his house picks up half a boat and drives it up to his place in the Rockies... where the boat is now safely ensconced...probobly under a snow drift....

This half a boat is approaching its 2 year birthday. I'm told it will be finished up come summer. I don't know how nmany miles it has on it, but its been through a lot!

If ya work your boat 10 minutes a night you have your boat done in a year.
Remember procrastinating is what you do on hte half toos...Baots are what keeps you from doing the stuff your supposed too.

Heck thsi boat's been more places, had more adventures unfinished then many boats have been finished. Its even been to East coast R2K.....
