S&G: WGW Constructon Day 15

This weekend I visited the wonderful town of Rochester, NY. Besides spending the whole time in a hockey rink and the Holidome hotel I also managed to visit a strip mall across the street. In this mall I found a shop called Woodcraft. It was a sign from God. In the shop I found a pack of 10 syringes for less than $5. I have been trying to buy new syringes for a couple of days and could not find them in Maine.

Upon returning, I commenced my work on the Wherry. I hand sanded some of the edges and used a palm sander on the rest of the hull. I tried to make the whole thing as smooth as possible. After I felt good about the sand job (1 hour of work) I brushed all the dust off the hull and wiped it with a damp cloth. Then I waited for 2 hours and returned downstairs to mix epoxy. My roller is getting a little stiff from all the epoxy work. I think I will get a new one for the inside hull glass job.

I rolled a coat of epoxy on the entire hull and used the foam brush to smooth out all the runs. It looks nice. Tomorrow I will run my palm across the hull to see whether I could fill the fiberglass cloth. If I can't feel the cloth then the glass job is done (according to the manual).
