Just thought I would pass on a damage report for my Richie Kayaker compass. I have owned a Richie Kayaker compass (the one with the rotating bezel) for two years this weekend when I removed it to mount it on a different boat I dropped it on the garage floor. I found that the dome is glass and very breakable. Word to the wise you may want to look for a compass that has a cover over the top of the dome for more protection. I don't expect it's repairable but I'm going to ask Richie anyhow!
