That amount of separation should be no problem to close up after glassing the deck. You can make it easier by strapping the deck back down as soon as practical after the resin sets up.

: While glassing the deck, is it necessary to have the deck contact the hull
: all along the shear? I’m concerned that it may be difficult to attach the
: deck to the hull if the deck is not in complete contact with the shear
: when it’s being glassed. If contact along the shear is necessary when
: glassing the deck, does anyone have suggestions on how to do it?
