Strip: Revised Deck Pattern *Pic*

I flipped the boat over several nights ago and stripping on deck will be underway very soon. I revised the pattern I'm considering for the deck feature/accent strip.

So this design will start one or two strips in from the shearline and encircle the perimeter of the deck. The light color will be Sitka Spruce and the dark color will be a middle toned Western Red Cedar. I think this pattern will be a better compliment to the diamonds http://www.nwlink.com/~chips/cedarstrip/images/precoat.jpg than the earlier one was http://www.nwlink.com/~chips/cedarstrip/images/deck_pattern.gif

The circles would be drilled out last with a Forstner bit. I have a dowel cutter that will let me make circles in face grain. I may leave out the pinstripes or make them darker. I have another week or so to think about it.
