Jay, it surely seems that the hulls are outrageously stiff and any stress that is likely to raise a crack at a rigid bulkhead is likely to crack the hull anyway. I've only paddled with a loaded glass boat, and it has cracks everywhere from rough use. The one feedback I got on heavily loaded s&g boat was a few cracks in front of the aft bulkhead. Seems like it's one of theoretical issues depending upon the boat in question and in those extreme conditions where it's an issue then the rest of the hull would be overbuilt anyway.
