S&G: Big clamp ideas

Hello there. I am building the Wineglass Wherry. I'm at the point when I would like to glue some braces to the areas where the seats will be glued. That means gluing a piece of wood about 10 inches down from the shear line. How could I clamp that ? I was thinking about cutting two pieces of wood from a 2x4 and use them in a tweezer like fashion by clamping the top with a clamp to create enough pressure on the other end.

Any ideas on how to clamp this?
