Hey rightous boatwrights,
I've spent a week now inlaying the inuit transition figures I was talking about earlier. I'm afraid our work is out a head of the pictures.

Still, here is a shot of two of the figures we are stripping into the bidarka. One is a hunter in the bidarka and is the final figure in the transition. The Narwhale is the opening figure. I don't have pictures of them yet, but other figures are an otter with a fish in its mouth, a seal, a rising bull walrus, a polar bear in threat display.

Rick "nimble fingers" Morgan did the scroll saw work. then had the audacity to go back to work. I used the Kent-mighty-good-method of laying them in. (big thanks Kent for talking me through that, this fall)

Had to make some cool tools. to carve them in. I'll lay in some pictures of those on the next roll. Along with the rest of the figures in the wood.

Next project is diamond saw work. I am adding some greenstone into the pattern. The Thule culture has a history of using Jadeite. So I thought it would look good in the transition. I need to mess with the use of epoxy to seal that so the stone/wood transition is water tight.....YEah I know. Crazy fools putting rocks in his boat :D

I have an old seal harpoon and planning to replicate that and an ulu (blubber carving tool) on the upper part of the deck. Trying to add to the hunter sensability of the to the boat, above the transition.

I'll keep the pictures coming as she brightens up.

My best to you all
