The one I've enjoyed making as a winter pastime came in at 27,16 oz with four finishes. It looks like varnished Teak and feels like Balsa - probably because of the contrast between the visual weight and the actual weight.

I just could not resist that finish! Other than that, every detail is different from the other one. But it is not an etreme weight saving design, not yet: the blades are 3" and much thicker than needed. I wanted to test some profile ideas with this one. Maybe, maybe in august I'll know how it will be looking when it is ready.

Very labour intensive, my way of making them. Can't recommend it to anybody. But I do believe 25 oz to be realistic, if weight is set as a primary goal.
