I've never heard of putting one in the freezer. When I was doing alot of bright work on my sail boat,I used to put the brush in an old mason jar with an inch or so of solvent in there to keep it soft over night. I'd wrap a rag around the top to reduce evaporation. I'd keep brushes good for weeks like that. Secure the area some how tho. Don't leave it open with your jar on a milk crate, next to your hatch panels with your long haired, dog snooping around. I don't know wich was worse. Getting the dog hair out of my bright work or getting the varnish out of the dog.
