Unfortunately I'm not allowed to start another boat 'til I get a few other jobs done around the house..

One I did yesterday. We have oak chairs with legs that angle out from the seat to the floor so the leg does not sit flat but dents the fir floor. I tried cutting the angle but had little success,and didn't want to make the legs shorter. The little felt stick on pads kept coming off allowing more dents and scratches.

The problem was solved with boat building skills learned right here..on this BB

I wrapped a ring of masking tape around the end of the legs and with the chair inverted poured a bit of epoxy into the ring of tape. The epoxy leveled and when it cured it created the exact angle to sit flush with the floor. Now the felt pads stay put and the legs don't scratch.

Now if anyone has an idea how to make a coffee table that is as much fun to build as a boat we might have the start of a WIN WIN situation.
