Southwind Kayak Center in Irvine Calif. is holding their Spring Boat Builder's Forum on Sat. April 27th 2002. "Bring your home-built kayak/canoe, in any stage of completion, and meet casually with other kayak/canoe builders and their boats on the front lawn. Everyone shares the experiencs, joys and pains of building their own. Just come to look and chat if you're contemplating building one." It would be really great to get a good turnout of SOCAL builders
for this event. They have a geat big lawn out in front of their shop to display the boats and the Newport Beach Back Bay is just a short hop away to finish off the afternoon with a great Paddle.
