the local paddling shop has a minimal seat that's shaped like a H.B. without the wings, it's got blue lycra covering it with peel off adhesive bottom, $25.
The thing about the HB that gets me is the hip braces only work in boats that are skinny without the wooden hip braces,,if you have a wider boat with wooden hip plates the "wings" confine the 17" width so much that they have to get cut off, without the wooden hip plates and retaining hip sections the side to side bracing is less effective for rolling and the back band gets marginal support connecting to the sheer clamps with the backband strap cutting into my kidneys.
