I actually stayed at the Jefferson Transit Park & Ride twice while I was in PT last October for Instructor certification...it's quieter than the campground and Safeway is handy for a nice donut breakfast. It's also free and only 5 minutes from Ft. Worden. You can't "tent it" there, but if you have a van, pickup or RV, it's ideal. You only need to call their office at (360) 385-3020 one business day before you stay there to let them know your vehicle description and license plate #.
