Seeking: Skeg Design

I found a drawing of a push pull skeg in the archives.

I've built a mock up and it seems to work quite well,but I 'm not sure how the cable fits into the skeg itself.,and how it attaches./detaches??

It is designed to be easily removable.for repair or replacement.

I tried reading other posts in the thread but most came up error.
