Strip: Deck joints.

Hi to all on the board.
I am building a Guillemot (in New Zealand) and I am having trouble on the deck curved work.
Is it best to plane off the cove and beads on the curvier strips (borders)and strip up to a plane edge with the filler strips? Do you use use finishing strips in the same way as the hull finisher strips in each section of filler strip?
