It is made of Norwegian Spruce. It is designed to be a fast open water kayak. It has some more volume forward to lift the kayak over the waves. Diving through waves slows the kayak down. Personaly I think the wind is the biggest problem so I made the profile as low as possible.

Paddling in Sweden is quit OK when the water is not frozen. We have a long coast and a lot of inland lakes.
