Strip: Alignment

I'm building the Guillemot and have stripped from the sheer down on each side ~6". Now that I look at what was orginally a true center line (?perhaps?), I've noticed that somehow I've induced a bit of a banana (left/right) and have ended up with a slightly curved boat. As compared to a straight line from Stem to Stern, the form center lines get progressively worse from each end as I approach the middle. At its worst I've got about 1/4" deviation... noticeable only from dead astern/bow on; but just the same irritating.

Is this a big deal? Does anyone have any similar experiences and quick fixes. I thought of splitting the hull from the forms from one side only, to allow enough flexibility in the forms to force it back straight.. but I don't put much faith in this solution.

Any pointers most welcomed,
Thanks in advance.
