I really like my 12 1/2" DeWalt. I picked the DeWalt over the Delta because you can resharpen the cutting knives on the DeWalt. The Delta's blades index on a pin and can't be adjusted to allow for sharpening. Delta sharpens both edges of the blade so you can turn them around one, then you toss them. If delta ever quits making blades you'll have a really nice boat anchor.

I wouldn't want to make paddles (especially canoe) without a planer.
