Strip: Beginning a Great Auk

I am a newbie builder. It is time to post a message on the board to say that I am committed. (Perhaps I should be committed?) The Auk has been drawn from Nick Schade's offsets, applied to plywood, attached to a strong back, and the first strip is on the frame.

I am a research physician and will have about 10 - 20 hours a week I can put on the project. Any side bets on when I will finish?? All evidence points to about 150-250 hours. I have done some woodworking but have never built a boat.

Other details: I am ripping all the strips myself and building without cove and groove. I have not bought the fiberglass and epoxy yet, as I want to make sure I really get that far before plunking that cash down.
