Here is an update on the Grade 8 class building the Guillemot Double.

The last seam was glassed yesterday so today we started building the coamings. The students are really enjoying this part of the building process. I think they like the idea of recycling scraps of strips too.

We decided to go with the "less is more" philosophy in regard to the art work. The mockups were completed and taped on yesterday. We've got Ravens on the bow, stern and together with a Thunderbird in the middle. We are pretty happy with them so next Monday we hope to begin painting the designs onto the kayak.

It's down to the wire now but I am pretty confident that we can have her ready for our June 17 launch date.
