Hey Guys,
Just wanted to let everyone know I've posted some more pics of the Guillemot single (Arcturus) in the original album and created a new album of her maiden voyage on the Santa Fe River in north Fl. She only has 2 coats of varnish and is lacking hatch gaskets and bulkheads but my wife is on vacation this week so I had to get her to a point where she could be paddled (I'm talkin 'bout the boat). I got a couple of good pics of the manatees who are visiting the area.
We also got some pics of our trip up the Silver River to Silver Springs (home of the world famous glass bottom boats) but they're being developed. I'll try to get them posted in a couple of days. I'll let ya'll know when they're available.
Thanks to Nick for the really beautiful design and to all who supplied info and reassurance on the BBS. Arcturus got a lot of attention, looks, and comments. However, I found out that I made a major mistake. I let my daughter try her out and now she wants one!!OOPS!!
And don't even try to get that litle paddle away from my wife! Its Like gettin a piece of raw meat away from a hungry tiger. I released it from a spruce 2x4. Its 88" long and the blades are thinner than the plans called for to save weight. I couldn't believe how well it pushed Arcturus up the river.
