Skin-on-Frame: Waxed nylon multifiliment line

Can't seem to find this stuff. The salespeople at the local hardware and marine supply stores look at me like I'm crazy. It looks like the stuff in Morris' book is just un-braided, un-twisted filiments, sort of like twine, but translucent like sinew.

The closest thing I found is "artificial sinew" made out of polypropylene, which looks right. Problem is I don't know anything about the properties of polypropylene vs. nylon for strength, durability and stretchyness...

Any suggestions? It's holding up my progress on a 4-day weekend....

Mark
