I just found this site and thought it would be a great source of ideas for artwork on the deck. It's a HUGE listing of words and the symbols used to express those words. For example, there are about 30 symbols listed for "water." Below is one symbol for water that I think might look good on the deck of the kayak.
As I said, the index of words on this site is huge, and I bet that everyone can find a unique symbol that works for them and the ideas they want to express.
