you're right about there being different strokes. i spent a lot of time working with the greenland paddle in the hope that i would figure out what so many people like so much about them. then one day i said screw it and went back to a euro. then i designed my own and now i am happy. it could still be my fault that i don't like the greenlander, but i don't care anymore.
btw. i still carry a greenland storm on my back deck as a spare. i also don't like two-peice paddles.
