I'm not careful enough to use a "pour just enough out" method.
Rehd's method of using large syringes allows me to occasionally pull too much into the syringe and just push it back into the can. It also allows mixing very small amounts of epoxy, say a teaspoon or two, just by choosing 5 and 10 cc amounts on the syringes. (I use a 1/2 to 1 mixture by volume)
BTW, the picture looks great! You have the technology down. Best wishes on your mixing.
Here is a picture of the mixing station I used. Since I always had the resin on the left and the hardener on the right and I went from left to right, a habit pattern was reinforced. I also made sure I stopped talking and singing before measuring... I saved that for the 60 seconds of mixing up each batch. Anyone care to suggest new songs which take 60 seconds to sing? I did not think I would ever tire of amazing grace... but I need a new mixing song.
