I'm just about done with my Greenland Morris kayak, and it's just about time to oil the frame. My question is on adding color pigments to boiled lindseed oil to give it a different color than the plain wood. Where can you get pigments? Are there drawbacks to coloring the oil that I should know about? Suggestions?
I've seen a number of Aluet baidarkas with oiled frames that were pigmented red, and was interested in that look. Anyone know how they get that?
Thanks for your help...
Mark
