The entire time I was building my Arctic Tern I couldn't help but notice my Prijon Kodiak suspended above my head and wonder what a trihedral hull with a hard chine would perform like. (If you are not familiar with their design it has a relatively flat bottom extending to about half the width of a typical shallow V bottom with an abrupt edge leading to a soft chine.) There are aspects I liked about the Prijon it is fast, efficient, and has interesting stability characteristics. Combining the two may make a duck without webbed feet, or it may make a boat that almost snaps from a primary stability position to a full on edge position. Any thoughts? I do believe that nature created a lot of ducks without webbed feet before she figured out the current design.
