Aaaaaah, Cool Guy...a paddle in the rain is fun! Like I have to tell you...

Hey, I was off to Black's Beach down here in Diegoland surfing a point break that was down to 6 foot faces with the occasional 8. Got trashed a couple times but I did ride a 6 foot left break, tubing behind me, and fired out the shoulder (almost missed the brace) and paddled like hell to get out and almost ate it on the next forming wave it was that steep, over the top to bang down the backside, wobbling all the way, and made it out, heart pounding. The reward: the compliments of a herd of kids less then half my age sitting on their boards on the outside. Of course I had to act cool, a bit bored, and did pop a beer that I had in the deck bag. One must always look cool ya know.

I'm still flying high, my tallest wave in a sea kayak, though the tallest wave I've ever did was a 30 foot wave on a Hayden 19, towed in by a Wave-Runner.

Hey...for the older set, more mature and wise who might be reading this, remember that youth and experience is no match for age and treachery! hee hee hee
