: Aaaaaah, Cool Guy...a paddle in the rain is fun! Like I have to tell you...
: :)

: Hey, I was off to Black's Beach down here in Diegoland surfing a point break
: that was down to 6 foot faces with the occasional 8. Got trashed a couple
: times but I did ride a 6 foot left break, tubing behind me, and fired out
: the shoulder (almost missed the brace) and paddled like hell to get out
: and almost ate it on the next forming wave it was that steep, over the top
: to bang down the backside, wobbling all the way, and made it out, heart
: pounding. The reward: the compliments of a herd of kids less then half my
: age sitting on their boards on the outside. Of course I had to act cool, a
: bit bored, and did pop a beer that I had in the deck bag. One must always
: look cool ya know.

: I'm still flying high, my tallest wave in a sea kayak, though the tallest
: wave I've ever did was a 30 foot wave on a Hayden 19, towed in by a
: Wave-Runner.

: Hey...for the older set, more mature and wise who might be reading this,
: remember that youth and experience is no match for age and treachery! :)
: hee hee hee

: While I'm at it...about life...and I quote Andy Rooney...

: +++++++++++++++++++++

: ANDY ROONEY"S Thought On Life....

: The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends.
: I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time.
: And then you die. What's that? A bonus?
: I think the life-cycle is all backwards.

: You should die first and get it all over with.
: Then you live in an old age home.
: You get kicked out when you're too young.
: You get a gold watch.
: You go to work.
: You work forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement.
: You do drugs, alcohol and party.
: You get ready for high school.
: You go to grade school and become a kid.
: You play. You have no responsibilities.
: You become a little baby & go back into the womb.
: You spend your last nine months floating...

: Then, you finish off as an orgasm. I like it.

Talk about whose having too much fun! That's it, I'm launching THIS weekend even if the paint ain't dry. If you and Riki can keep going out there and have all that fun I'm going to get out there and match you minute for minute on the water. I've finally installed my seat and have been working up a pattern for painting. It's 10:42 p.m and I ain't going to bed till it's done. Time to pour myself a vodka and whatever over ice. I can taste the spume blowing up my nose already. I've consoled myself with long motorcycle rides but that just doesn't cut it when I read about everyone getting out and getting tossed by waves I can only dream of. :)

Happy Paddling Everyone!
