I was just going back through the old posts from 9-11-02 and wanted to add my 2 cents about life and boat building as a job. I too have thought about starting a kayak business to get away from "the-man". I don't know if it will happen or not, but I believe in Karma and I personally think that we are all drawn to kayaking because of Karma. I have some motivational quotes from various people that I keep in my wallet (laminated) and read every day for inspiration. I just wanted to share them with everybody. Maybe they will give those of you out there dreaming a little extra motivation. We all have a dream to fulfill, a problem/situation to overcome, an experience to find, and a destiny to follow. Enjoy!

If you settle for what they're giving you, You deserve what you get...

A miracle will happen when you come to the realization that "you" are your "only" opposition...

Play the game with precision. Don't worry about winning or losing...

It is better to have tried and then failed, than it is to have failed to try...

A brave man dies only once. A coward dies many times...

You can die on the bleachers or you can die on the playing field, but you can't get out of life alive...

Security is within yourself...

Discovery is seeing what everyone else see's and thinking what noone else has thought...

In the prosperous times you put it in your pocket. In the lean times, you put it in your heart...

See the fear and do it anyway...

Practice makes...improvement. You can "always" better your best...

Success is a well executed journey, not the finish line...

The only limitations in life are those that you place on your-self...

You can't "save" time. You can't get "more" time. You already have all the time there is and you must spend all 24 hrs. of it "every" day...

Every day I age. Some days I procrastinate. When I procrastinate, I willingly take a step toward my death. You can't reverse it. You have to act "now" or take another step toward your death.

Does this belong in another BBS ???????
