How accurate do the plans need to be ?
By this I mean the horizontal and vertical lines etc (and who knows, maybe the actual outline as well ??)
I expected them to be 100% especially after all of the effort put into design, and instructions/books etc impressing upon accuracy when setting the forms on the strongback.
However some of my plans are out by up to 5 mm (almost 1/4" in old style units) at the perimeter on some forms, and I haven't even gotten to the larger ones yet. So much so that I don't know which are correct and how to align them. I'd cut 6 forms so far, got a bit worried as some seemd a bit off, so checked my backup photocopies. One or two on top of another on a sheet of glass over a light. All over the place!
Apart from possibly looking naf, I'm worried about the effect upon tracking, the actual stripping process, bumps, flats spots etc ...
Is it usual (well not too uncommon) for professionally supplied plans to be this bad ? I'd have thought not.
Has anyone else experienced this ?
