: Anyone have any good ideas on removing mildew stains from okume plywood?

I got that on my Luan doorskin, too. I left yhat outdoor for a week while I clear the garage to put it inside. After a couple of weeks in the garage, I notice the mildew (black spots.) I tried TSP, I tried bleach and I tried oxalic acid; None worked. I did manage to lighten the color of the surrounding wood somewhat. I finally gave up and glass over that. After a few trip out I don't notice the black spots anymore although they are still there. It never grow any bigger and I don't pay anymore attention.
