I thought I should follow up after my questions about boat designs and test paddles. A week ago (I've been on a business trip this week) I took the family up to Lake Crescent and we got to try out the King.

Joe was great! Not only did I get a test paddle, he also gave a short course on boat design and a paddle lesson. Beautiful boat, fun to paddle and a great person to talk to! The morning ended with my purchase of a set of King plans.

My oldest son (15) is fired up to help. All I need to do is finish up my shop bench and we'll get started. I'm sure I'll be checking in for advice and counseling (or consoling )
