Yikes, you could always wash you hair with vinegar, that should do the job.

Your eposode reminded me of when I epoxied my watch to my wrist. A drop must have landed on the watch band and it went through the cracks and set up hard to my wrist. I didn't realize it until I went to take my watch off at the end of the day. I ended up cutting the band with wire cutters and pulling a patch of skin off. Needless to say, I never were a watch, or ring or any of that stuff while working with epoxy.
