: Hello Rehd,
: Missed you (and cookies) at R2K2 this year!
Yeah, I missed being there and visiting with you all this year as well. Just seems like sometimes nothing works out the way ya planned. I WILL be online at 12:01, April 1, again this year to get a camping spot. Be sure to let us all know the weekend, as soon as possible, if other than the usual. I just made up a new Brownie recipe that I think Ya'll will just love. And of course, will have some of the standards again.
: The coaming was laminated with 1/16" pieces so no steam bending was
: needed.
: The oil slowly works it's way back to the freshly cut surface so I made it a
: point to clean the surface just prior to glueup.
: I would bet that the oil, being pretty thin when heated (after steaming),
: would tend to work it's way back to the surface quicker.
: Joe
Yes, that does make sense. Will have to try using some on a boat in the near future. Maybe on the Grebe stripper this winter or next spring. They had a great supply over at Jackel Enterprizes where I visited a few weeks ago, and I am planning another trip over in a couple more weeks to pick up some of the reclaimed redwood and try that out.
Thanks Joe ! And I'll do my best to get up that way next year!! With something to show besides cookies.
Maybe we can get a whole Calif. contengient together to go!
Rehd
P.S. ( the pictures were really super, but just not like being there )
