I have not heard a problem with these points before, but that doesn't mean there isn't a discrepancy. The top points in the book are where the cockpit should be cut. Give priority to the points in the book. The additional points on my web site are for withing the cockpit area and since this area will be cut away, are less important.

: Buttocks #8 on forms 9 & 10 put the 8in point at 5.22 and 4.46
: respectively. When I include the additional-not-in-the-book points from
: the website "Book corrections" page these two buttocks points
: seem to be off from where the form outline should be drawn. For these 2
: points to be on the form outlines they need to be around 5.70 and 4.80
: respectively. Including them in the outline as-is makes a "dip"
: in the form outline at these points.

: Unless the lofting points at buttocks 8 are where the form tops can be cut
: off for the cockpit decking? The offsets chart isn't really clear on this
: nor are the details in the text (or on the corrections page) very clear
: that these are the points that are intended to indicate that the forms can
: be cut off at that height. So, are they?

: The lofting process was easy, this just seems to be either a printing mistake
: or I'm misunderstanding something.

: Rob P.
