Kerosene pro's and con's

I heat my entire house with kerosene, using two vented Kerosun/Toyostove furnaces. I also have a couple of space heaters like the one pictured in Rick's post, which I use in the garage at times. They work great and have minimal fumes, as long as the wick is in good shape (they last for years as long as you don't let the heater run dry). They're also very economical to run. However, you probably don't want to use one if you're going to be doing any fiberglassing, varnishing or painting. The heaters do give off a small amount of oily soot that would probably cause a serious problem with fisheyes.
