In the current issue of Sea Kayaker there is an article on deck rigging. In this article the mention using whipping twine for tying deck lines and bungee cords. Well I have tied the whipping with half hitches but do not know how to end these knots. Should I coat this with epoxy, varnish or fingernail polish to keep the hitches from untying?
