In Response To: Skin-on-Frame: Seat Help? (Wayne)
Wayne,
An alternate to sitting on a piece of sealskin... traditional greenlandic... is to use a couple pieces of pad on either side of the keel. I cut up an old pool float with the band saw and made two pads that fit in a SOF, but it would work similarly for your folder. I also took a kitchen knife and made a slit down the middle of the cushion so that I could slip it over my paddle. Thus you can have two emergency paddle floats and sit on them when they are not in use as paddle floats.
