Sand down to..?

Thanks for the reply. How far down should I sand? Into the glass? To the wood? I precoated the wood before I glassed so will that effect the color if I re-glass? In the places that I had to join 2 pieces of glass to cover the deck, I can't even find the lines so I must be ok at feathering. I didn't have any problems like this on my Great Auk. Being a perfectionist is hard work. Just have to remember that this is a kayak that will get scrathced, not a living room table. GB
