I am just about ready to order a Pygmy Arctic Tern 14 as a second, day/play boat for me and as a boat to put my 11 or 14 year old in. I've read lots of good things about the AT14 handling. I have a Coho I love, and I really like the multichine look vs the hard chine AT's- so I took a look for a multi 14 footer and found the Waters Dancing Lighting 14. Haven't seen much mention of this line on the board. Any comments on design, building, and handling of this one?
I have to admit that my preference for multichine look was boosted by my AT High. I built it last year thinking I would be alot more comfortable with size 13's. It's a good boat, but too deep for me, and the combination of the extra height and 4-panel hull make it look pretty boxy. I was able to sit in a AT14 a few weeks back, and my bare feet seem to fit ok- just a little more angle. It is really quite attractive in the small size, just curious about a multi chine option.
