While servicing microscopes and stereomicroscopes I used Optical Lens Cleaning Tissues from Olympus. I run one tissue through the Deskjet and epoxied the tissue under one layer of glass. I have looked at the result in 100x-microscope and I cant see anything of the tissue. The black ink came through well but the color was a little weak and tended to float. I dont know the durability of the color but the black ink claims to be archivequality.
The ricepaper will be visible. If you can get some very thin uncolored silkenpaper I think it would be the best. Jewelery-shops maybe?
