Hi Kurt,
I applied a dragonfly using decal sheets from www.micromark.com. It's survived one season with negligible fading. I used my inkjet printer and a spray fixative to keep the ink from running when I soaked the decal in water. Covered with a couple coats of varnish. I downloaded the image from a website somewhere.
