When I ordered my 127/350 epoxy from Raka I ordered a Qt. of Larry's 900 HP resin to use with the 350 hardner (Ok,per Larry).
I glassed the hull of my Razor Billed Auk this weekend using 4 oz. S- Glass and the 127/350 epoxy for wetout of main layer of glass and also for an extra football patch I added the next day.
I wanted to fill the weave of the football patch and it's fuzzy edges, quickly, to match the amt. of epoxy on the rest of the hull.

I mixed up some of the 900 HP resin with the 350 hardener (2to1) This stuff is really,really, reallllly THICK!!! I started brushing it on the the football patch which had only the wet-out coat on it. I quickly switched to pouring and using a sgueegee to spread it. It filled the weave quickly and when I used the squeegee to pull off the excess, the resin stayed in the weave. Much better than using 127/350 for fill coats.

I think I have found good a way to save some time on fill coats. It seems the resin would be good for making thickened epoxy also. It should take less thixotropic agents to thicken.

I will preheat the resin the next time as I usually do with all epoxy but forgot this time.
