Off Topic: Qurut/Kashk ?

This is a dried yogurt from Afghanistan and Iran. It comes in rock hard balls.
Does anyone know how to reconstitute this???????????
It looks like it would be a good cooking ingredient if I can ever learn how to use it correctly.
