Hello all. Been learning and enjoying on this board for a while now. My Pygmy Coho is creeping along and I will begin stitching this weekend.
My question is whether to apply an on-lay veneer strip (on the hull near the shear) before or after I stitch the panels together?
Applying before could afford the ease of working flat with gravity assisting. It may also ease the feathering of the edges of the strip by sanding.
On the down side may be the strip not bending to the curve and cracking or delaminating. Also, there might be a problem of having the thickened epoxy at the bow and stern covering the on-lay strip.
Finally, any suggestions on what to do with the strip when I get to the bow and stern? Thanks.
