Actually... It really was just a test drive... So, no, no seat yet. (I was sitting on a pillow!) But, I did just mold some plexi for a seat. Using methods described here (somewhere here!) I should be able to get it pretty darned low to the boat while retaining a little comfort! I mean, I might end up being at 1/2" or so off of the hull with just the plexi and I'll probably pad that up at some point...

I kind of like the idea of sitting too high for a while and having it that much more tippy and then moving back down to just the plexi (plus maybe a small pad). At any rate, there's still plenty of room to change my mind about everything!
